Making music folders on a cd?

So, on my DEH-5900 I have the options to choose folders on a CD. What exactly does this mean?

I want to create a burnt CD with a few albums on it and if I could create it using seperate folders for each album and select them through the deck I'd be happy.

I don't know if thats what the folders option means but if it is, how would I go about making a CD like that?

What program are you using? are your trying to make a data CD or a audio CD?

Audio CD. I basically want to be able to select different albums in different folders through the deck. I usually just use RealPlayer to make a quick MP3 CD.

open the drive on your computer that your cd is in, then go to your music files on "my computer" and drag the album file onto the cd. then click burn. i have an apple comp, and thats what i do. should be the same for windows.

No, what you're wanting to do is make a DATA CD.

It will contain the MP3 FILES, NOT burned as 80 minutes of audio but instead 700MB of files.

You can put many albums on a CD-R, as many as 700MB will allow. The Pioneer will read this MP3 Data CD, and you'll be able to browse through folders... and such.

That makes sense. I found out that just putting them into folders and adding them that way works as well. Too bad the Nero trial version that I downloaded decided to stop burning half way through so I only ended up with 2 of the 3 albums but, atleast it worked.

If you want folders, you need to burn in data cd format, and drag the folders over. Thats what i do.
