Making box smaller?

What are the advantages to making a box smaller? Tuning will remain the same, 38.

Sub is recommended for 1.1-1.5 cubes, I currently have it in 1.48 gross, seems a little bit big for it. I'm throwing 900 watts at it right now too, and it's rated at 600. I think putting it in 1.26 cubes would help with the extra power and be a little louder? I don't want to give up how good it sounds on music though.

What do you guys think?

your box is fine for daily your not going for numbers primarily so keep it how it is because its sounds**** good for a single 10 and gets decently loud even though it looks tiny lol

Well I was debating between 1.40 and 1.26.

We're building a new box either way, so I just wanted to see.

Good, you need to mount your 100/125.4 to something that's actually solid.

Please please please try to get Monday-Wednesday off. I know I won't have to work those days.

I'll need a box to mount my battery. Where I'll put it I don't quite know yet. Also going to need an amp rack between the seats, and I want to cover it. Maybe some plexi would be sexy
