Making Aeroports

Gonna be making a new box for my 18" dc lvl4. Wanting to do 2 6" aeros but i wanna try an make the aeros instead of buying the PSP ones. Anyone know any good methods to make em? Tried doing a search but didnt come up with much.

Use PVC pipe, heat gun and a mold - either find a suitable bowl/pot thingy or you can make one out of stacked MDF discs and some wood filler. (Or anything in a suitable shape that won't melt, really).

best way for me.... boiling water is just hot enough to make the pvc VERY elastic. place mold in pot of boiling water and push pipe slowly onto mold (or let it heat up then put mold in water and push down on it a bit faster)

works for me no prob every time. hardest part is finding a good mold...

One way is using your jigsaw to cut out a few MDF discs with angled sides then stack them up to make a cone type thing. Then use some wood filler to build up the curvature of the flare near the base of the cone.

OK thanks. Ive heard bout heating up the pvc am molding it to a bowl but didnt know if it was really effective.

Dont wanna spend the $ for a 1"+ roundover bit that Id use a couple of times.

That is perfect, Thanks. Gonna try it this weekend. An the disks is a good way to get the mold the desired width instead of trying to find the perfect bowl

Black an Pink fleckstone. Its my chics box(thus the reason for pink)

Yeah that's what I was thinking. It actually looks very clean and smooth, besides the color of course.

i use double baffle and a 3/4" roundover. ive seen even bigger ones for cheaper on the net.

it was my first time using fleckstone an it came out a lot better than i thought. The pink though is a lil smoother than regular fleckstone. Laid white fleckstone first(3 coats) an then jus pink spray paint over it. It took way some of the texture but in person its still noticeable
