Hello and thank you for helping me out. I am going to be building a truck behind my rear seat of my truck. I have an 02 Ford F250 CrewCab. Behind the rear seat is a box right now that is: 17H x 57W x 6.5TopDepth 9.5BottomDepth. I don't know what that comes out to but I wanted to run 2 RE SX10s and wanted to know how to port it? Might fiberglass the box so either ports will be pushing air under the seats or up behind the seat.

are you reusing the box thats there now?? or was that just for reference??

volume = hight x width x ((depth1 +depth2) /2)

so if the box is made out of 3/4 you subtract double that and you come up with

v=h(15.5)x w(55.5) x ((d1(5)+d2(8))/2)

or

860.25*6.5

or

5591.625 cubic inches

or

3.23589 cubic feet

thats without subtracting for the displacement of the subs themselves (or the ports if they are inside the box too etc.)

or you could check out this http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxcalcs.asp

its got a bunch of calculator things (different ones not just for boxes)

and to figure out the ports i used win isd by linear team to calculate them..... (its a program that you put in the speaker info (some they have already) and your box info and you can figure out the ports etc...)
