i'm about to give up on this box unless someone has a good idea for this. every time i drive and the truck shifts even slightly my box makes this ungodly loud squeeking fawking noise from it rubbing against the back of the cab.

i have the back all deadened and have 3/8" all-thread running all the way through the box and the bed to keep everything tight. you can't even budge the box by hand but when you hit a bump or are bumping this squeek happens.

it is not the box coming apart either i checked.

any tricks for quieting this beeach up some thx all. i sprayed wd-40 everywhere even WTF!!!

all thread not installed in this picture yet

is you box sitting on rear seat???

you always need to mount your box down, yes that will help from the moving from side to side or front to back.

you need to find a way to solve this problem.

if you got into a accident that box is like a weapon.

i removed the box put carpet behind it all rebolted it down and still squeeks WTF!!!!

the back part of my seat is removed so the box is bolted all the way through the whole box, through the rear of the cab and through the bed as well (the only way to put the nuts on the end of the all thread...

the box does not budge when i pull on it with all the strength but every little bump and that fawkinng squeek noise again..

more ideas anybody otherwise i have a sub and box for sale......it's driving me crazy like Chinese water torture!!!!!

i hate that mdf noise... I know exactly what you're talking about. I had a bare mdf box that did it and when I swapped it out for my box that was covered in bedliner it went away.

You say that the box is bolted to the rear of the cab...... You sure the bolts going through the cab aren't the source of the squeak. Pushing and pulling on it is not the same as the jarring motion that can come from driving. If this is the case, you can pull the bolts back out, slide some fuel line hose over the portion of the threads that goes through the sheet metal. Cut it short enough that you have the necessary amount of threads exposed on the end. Tighten it back up and go for a drive. I chose to flip the bottom portion of my seat up, and set my box on the floor. It sits on 4x4 runners. That way, I can snatch the box out and flip the seat back down if I have to put the kids back there or something. Less permanent than pulling any portion of the seat out of the truck......
