MAJOR remote start problem

We've owned this truck since Dec.

A previous owner installed an Omega MARS-22 remote start system.

It has worked fine up until a couple days ago.

I disconnected the (+) battery terminal to clean some minor corrosion and apply some anti-corrosion grease. After reconnecting the batery not only does the remote start not work, CONVENTIONAL start doesn't work! WTF???

When the remote start button is pressed it goes through the usual series of clicks, but never turns over - then the parking lights flash 30 times.

The parking lights also flash 30 times when the door is opened.

I can't figure out for the life of me what has changed since I cleaned the battery terminal, but my wife needs her truck!!

Read about that specific alarm and see what the parking lights flashing 30 times means. Also maybe the starter kill relay messed up if it has one. Check all fuses. What kind of truck is it?

It's a '99 montero sport

I've read through the manual 2 or 3 different times. I didn't find anything that looked like it would help. I did reset the factory defaults. No help.

I also found a blown 25A fuse under the hood and replaced it -- that didn't change anything either..

read about the remote start u disconected the batt so ur going to prolly have to reprogram the remote to the truck...my corvette, i disconected the batt for engine work and i have to reprogram my remote locks but i havent gotten around to it

when you turn the key in the ignition what exactly happens?
accessory's fine - radio comes on etc, just like usual.

on is fine - dash lights come on and go off in sequence, as usual.

Turn the key to start - nothing.

Headlights turn on bright etc, so I seriously doubt it's a battery issue, at least not to the extreme that the starter won't even engage.

that's what I'm thinking.

Omega doesn't have an 800# or I'd have them on the phone until this problem is solved.

I have submitted a CS request through their website - waiting on a response.

This is my wife's DD, and I'M our mechanic - so this is seriously pissing me off.

Edit: finally got a hold of them - now wating on a "call back" from a tech.

Edit 2: they called - all they could tell me is to cut the starter disable wire (orange).

More then likely you will need to relearn the key fob to the remote start.Try puttin the key in the ignition and turning it to acc, then press and hold the buttons to see if it chirps. It could also be in the key if you have a chipped key.

if you found a blown fuse under the hood have you also checked all the fuses under the dash?
The ones I could see w/o pulling them.

All the others were minis, and didn't look like they were for any circuits that would cause this major of a problem, but I will probably pull them tonight.
