You asked about what we'd suggest that is different. I would most certainly suggest you look into Digital Designs @ http://www.ddaudio.com before you purchase anything. Audio Que is another that is top notch. http://www.audioque.com. Both in the same price range will outperform your listed competition.

I remember recently reading a thread about the powerbass. Someone mentioned their teammates using them and they blew up. Couple people didn't like the reliability of them. If you search I'm sure you could find it.

That would be me.....the two powerbass extreme's we had at the shop met an untimley death last week in a 220 volt socket....they sucked anyways.
