Looking to upgrade my front battery in my 95 honda civic, just wondering if anyone else has the same car and what battery they are running, was looking at a kinetik 1400 but think its to tall, might have to go with a kinetik 800.

the hc1400 will fit, just make sure you get the right alignment or the posts will be on the wrong side
well i looked up the measurements for the 1400 and h=8.9" with the post and my old battery is 8" with the post and its pretty close to the hood the way it is now with my stinger battery post on it.

you can take the regular kinetik posts off and use 5/16" bolts. then all you'll need is ring terminals to hook all wiring up to the posts and they will be low enough to avoid striking the hood
Thats a good idea i will look into that. thanks

kinetik overates there batterys by alot dude.
tell us then how you rate a battery off of CCA and CA and how it directly applies to starting a car or running an audio system...those "specs" only mean that the battery stays above 7.2 volts for 30 seconds under load with no concern for staying above anyother voltage...the battery can very well fall below 10 volts in under 1 second and still meet its CA. It is also possible for a lower CA battery to also stay above 10v longer than a higher CA battery of the same load. if you want to try and rate off that then i guess every 1000 CCA battery is good for what 10k watts? LOL It wouldnt be.

I have messed with HIGHER "max amps" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif batteries and didnt hear a difference other than the fact it died faster with the key off because it was smaller capacity........

i had 2 95 civic hatchbacks and a 95 coupe and i ran the 1400 under the hood on all of them with no problem.
What did u use for battery terminals? Would youhappen to have a pic? Im using some stinger ones but they sit up pretty high. Just want to make sure before i buy one. Anything is better than my junk battery i got now, rated at 550 max.

Did u have to change ur wiring alittle when u ran them? I see the post are on the opposite sides than my original battery>
