its a dual 2 ohm woofer... so yes.. it can be wired to present a 1 ohm nominal load

k that's what i thought, just had to make sure. Cant wait to get 2 hifonics 1000D with 2 Magnum D2's. It'll be wangin.

Hmm...Ive got a similar question...can my Magnum D2 15" be wired for a 4 ohm load (since thats what everyone has recommended I run my Tantrum 1200.1 amp at)?

why not run your tantrum at 2 ohms.

nevermind, the sub can't be wired for a 2 ohm load.

It's dual-2 ohm, so yes.

Yes, assuming you don't make a crappy box, it should get rediculously loud and sound very good. Get a new alternator as well.

They run between like 250(very very cheap) and about 500 depending on the car and size. It would play, but not well at all. You would be sending about 2200 watts, which is a shitload, if it plays more than 1500 watts i'd be surprised, your headlights will also pretty much not work when the bass hits either. It is also very bad for your cars electrical system.
