doesn't have to be
that diode wont be dead unless the speaker polarity to the amp has been reversed.

its simply a diode across the battery input, after the fuses, so that if the battery is connected the wrong way, the diode will appear as a short circuit, and hopefully blow the fuse...

I don't know...all the fuses are blow so I will probably have to wait until tomorrow. I have lower rated fuses to try unless you think it will instantly blow them. I have one 25 , 15 , and a 20. Do you think it would automatically blow them?

I don't want to blam US AMPS just yet, but nothing was hooked up wrong...
