I've done a *lot* of donating over the last couple of years. Unfortunately, it is not something I can continue to do on an on-going basis.

Ok, here is what I promised.

I put one 5kw zenon amp on each coil of the sub (remember its a dual 2) and I ran my jeep with the alternator up to 14 volts (so the amps were putting out a healthy amount of power)

For amusement sake, I took some pics of the mach 5 spl 12 next to a cheapie low line fusion sub I had laying around just for size compairson sake. Both subs are 12" drivers.

and here are the results ... now mind you, dont expect some 150+ db score or something from any single 12 in an SUV of this size. Just because I have an assload of power behind it, only means that there are other isues that are preventing the driver/box from getting loud. Clearly the major problem is the amount of airspace in the vehicle, Durangos arent small. The enclsoure is 3.2 cubes tuned to 45 hz.

First score, burp for 4 seconds at 47 hz and measured at the head, MECA style

Second score, burp for 4 seconds at 47 hz and measured at the kickpanel, USACi style
