yea im upgrading my alt and adding a batt. along with a ma 10 farad cap, but hows the sound quality on this amp, and can it be a every day driver or is it just for competitions?

i still dont think you will see 4400 watts from it with the altenator and battery, guys getting these kind of numbers are giving them 16 or 17 volts from what i have seen

thanks alot for the input whyteboy9843, you say u use it as a dd, how do u have it wired to the subs and is your alt upgraded ? and would u recommend this amp?

yea they arent exactly expensive my cousin ended up paying i think somewhere around 900 bucks for his and that was at a ma dealer with a employee discount, but i found one on ebay new for around 400 bucks shipped to my door

i would not by that amp that wattage clame is at 17 volts not the normal 13.8 an average alt wil give or for that matter upgraded alt will only give you about 14.5 to 15 volts at the most thats not close to what you need. if i was you look for a different amp such as the autoteck 4000.1 the are rated at 13.8 volts to put out 4000 rms at 2ohms and will run at 1 for a daly driver to give you around 7 to 8000 rms and just get a little warm to the touch. what subs do you have that require that much power and what ohm load are they.

It 'll do 4KW.

Just needs a good 500A to do it and steady voltage.

The 4000D is a better buy, not class A/B ( power hogs) and its a bit smaller.

You can mod it so it will drop down to .5ohms.
