<$800 budget on a system (two 12s or two 15s???)

I was mainly thinking the cheapest way to go was two 15" KICKER CVRS with a amp around 1ooowatts...

(a 7-year expert on audio said its dumb to put two 15s in a JeepGrandCherokee)

BUT i think two 12s wont pick up the really low bass

You have a lot of options... How much the 2 15's going to run you? It all depends on the box... If you don't make the right box, it doesn't really matter... How much you want to spend on the subs?

Yah I still think 2 15"'s will sound amazing in my cherokee...

SOOO im willing to spend about $800 on SUBS and AMP (me-brother-dad are going to make the box-not our first time)...but i want to try to stay as low as i can.

BOTH subs peak at 4000 and rms is 2000.

That system will be a lil expensive...

What about Kicker CVRs???? itll be ALOT cheaper

you can get the L7's and a 1500.1 for the price range your looking at on the big E.

maybe a bit over but you will be very glad you did. i stsarted with that exact set up and LOVED it. big fat box and you will be very happy.

go with the L7s. but on another note, you could get 2 type R 15s and a 2000 watt amp in that price range...

edit: you can get 2 type r 15s and a Hifonics BXi2008D for $757 on onlinecarstereo.com brand new...

that's for both? I'm sure you meant 3.5 for each, that would sounds nice though. You should've jumped on the spl15 presale though. One of those would've been nice

2 AQ SD2.5 15's and a AQ 1200. Easily in your budget and will be very low and loud.

I would suggest trying the Mach5/Kicker amp idea. If not, worry more about a single quality amp and single quality sub and put a few dollars into the front stage and electrical system to support it, and if there is any left, grab some Second Skin to get more out of your install.

I run 2 12's in my jeep GC and hit mid/high 140's.And the box was just thrown together.
