Ls2's Budget SQ substage build **PIX**

Infinity Reference 12" ($66 shipped from Crutchfield) in a 2 cu ft box tuned to 30hz built by myself.

It's powered by an Alpine MRD-M300. By no means is it the cleanest install, but I do have some trunk space now, which is cool. The Alpine is mounted on the back side of the box, with the mess of wiring.

I kind of wish I would have went sealed, but this little bastard gets decenty loud off 300 watts. I was surprised.

It sounds nice, very nice actually. I'm SHOCKED at how loud it gets, it would surprise the majority of you, if you didn't already know what I had in the trunk.

SQ is decent, Crutchfield told me that it wouldn't perform all that great in a ported box, but I figured I would try it out anyway. It sounds good with rock and rap so far, haven't tried much else.

Frys accidentally marked these as 10 bucks one time and i saw some dude walking out with the last 13 of them, i was soooo pissed i missed.

The are efficient subs for sure, but youre sending a bunch of power to it.

That subs looks a lot like a jbl I used to have

infinity and JBL are owned by Harman Kardon

thats a pretty good price. i know i loved my kappa perfects, i got them for $180 a pair from crutchfield 2 years ago. hopefully have one for my HT setup.
