LPF: amp or head unit?

Should I use the LPF on the amp or the head unit? Or do I use a combination of both?

both.Set negative/flat on hu,and set amp, then set hu for final settings.Thats way Ive always done it,so if you need to do any other adjustments..its at the hu/fingertips

I always set the amp past where i want to cross it then cross it at the hu
