Lowes cant read a tape measure

If you have a small-ish table saw(something that can't hold a full sheet of MDF easily), then just get a couple of sawhorses and a sheet of plywood(or OSB, whatever is cheaper), and clamp a straight edge down to make a good cut with a circular saw. I can do full sheets with my table saw, but it requires a few "arms" to support the sheet through the entire cut. I've found it to be much easier using saw horses for the first cut.

i had them cut 5 sheets last time to get the right cuts on what would have been 1 sheet they hated my *** . then i tookallthe scrap home too for free . lol i would have left it at 1 messed up sheet cut but he got an attitiude telling me he didnt have to gaurantee shit and i had to pay for what he messed up. he had me ****ed up . best $26 i ever spent . and ill never do it again . i was living in an appt and couldnt cut it myself .

lowes isnt there to do exact cuts. They are there to rip the full sheets down for transportation, noting more. Want accurate cuts by a table saw and do it yourself. Problem Solved!
Quoted for truth. I work at lowe's. I might make accurate cuts, but what does it matter when the saw doesn't cut square.

Finally, someone said it. I always ask how square the saw is before getting anything cut. And if its off, I tell him to make it 1/8 or 1/4 over and I'll bring it home and square it myself. A lotta times the saw isn't square.....guess mistreating it a lot is the cause of it.

i work at home depot and the saws are shitty, im one of the only people that take multiple measurements to get cuts close for customers but the saws are off and the blade makes takes up 1/8" itself so even with the "laser" guide the cut isn't accurate.

Also our table saw at my store that we use to cut 2x4's wobbles so if you had it cut its be at an angle..not my fault it just is what it is.

when cutting a sheet of ply in half (into two 4x4 sheets) the cut is off as much as an 1/8th of an inch across the 4 foot span.

these panel saws are meant for rough cuts, not finish cuts. the blades are general purpose, for cutting through a variety of materials.

i kid you not, the last time we changed the blade at my lowes in december of 2008, the date on the blade we took off had 2005 written on it.

if you MUST have them cut it, make it as easy as possible for them, speak to them politely, go in late morning when they have nothing to do, and slip them $5. I dont own a table saw and dont build enough boxes to own one. I rely on the old guys at HD to hook me up every now and then!!
