So I go to lowes and I get some wood cut for a box. I allways tell them to cut big and I trim it at home with the table saw.

So I tell them to split the sheet at 12 in 12in ect.

I tell the guy 1 at a time becouse they never consider the blade

I go to pay i check it I have the following

11 5/8

12 3/8

11 1/2

11 3/4

11 7/8

12 1/2

12 1/4

last one I did not mater it was scrap

I understand they say may very but the big is 12.5 and small is 11 3/8

come on

need less to say I went to home depot they got it all with in an 1/16th

This is the exact reason why many of us cut our own wood... I used to work at Home Depot and knew the guys that worked in lumber that would intentionally make shitty cuts just to be a dick.

I had a guy make a cut 1.5" off. I told him I wasn't paying for that, he said, "I've been doing this for 22 years son, I know how to cut wood."

lol, i've had the same shit happen at home depot terra. nothing pisses you off more than when they are cocky about it, when they could just admit they made a simple mistake lol

Most use the measuring guide provided on the saw already. But even cutting a full sheet of mdf at home is hard. So i as welll get my wood cut at MDF but I ALWAYS make sure they measure the cuts with a measuring tape and mark it and i check it before any cuts.
