Low mounting depth comps

Looking for some really low mounting depth comps for a 1997 Honda Prelude. I believe the max mounting depth is only 1 15/16". I've seen the Focal 165 Slim line. Are there any others? Hopefully ones that are cheaper than those focal, like $200 or less.

what size are we talking about? 6.5's will be hard to find under 2" but i'm sure there's something out there. my bostons are pretty shallow for 6.5's but still over 2". couldn't you make a baffle?

Only thing that comes to mind is pg elites, but are over the price range.

Yeah 6.5 comps. And I would just rather keep them in the doors just as is.

What about the Blaupunkt ODC650/ODC660 comps. Both under 2" mounting depth. Anyone heard these and how are Blaupunkt comps generally?

can you make an 3/4th in MDF adapter? It would sound better and you could gain another 3/4th + of an inch.

I agree with toxic.........this will give you ALOT more options on mounting depth and definitely improve your sound. Here is a set of comps that are only 2-1/4" deep.

Even a 1/2" mdf ring will allow for more options...typical Morel 6.5's are in the 2.4" range
