Thanks. I don't see the point in making all those animations and such. I would rather spend my time making it easy to use.

Looks good and easy to use, so perfect. Of course I dont know shit on what makes a website good or bad, but yeah looks good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I know who to hook me up with a couple mags now, when my parents die off and inherit some money, just kidding, kinda. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

However I was looking to get some new mag subs and remember them going up in price.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Yeah, I know. I wish I could sell them that cheap still. But still I think they are worth every penny. Not to mention I can still offer deals which are pretty good.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Looks good, however one problem...everything's an image. I don't know what you use to develop (if you do at all), but using images all the time is a problem to a web developer. First off, if you want to update one word or your main page, you have to edit an image. If text spans multiple images, that's a bigger hassle. Secondly, using images all the time slows down the load time. For example, your testimonials JPEG is about 150KB...and it's only 6 paragraphs. If this was pure text/html, it'd be less than 5-10K.

Is there a reason why the whole site is just image'd out?

Well editing it is actually very simple. I used Photoshop to make all the pages, and then all I had to do was slice it up. Then I just used dreamweaver for the rest.

If I wanted to edit anything, I would just open the photohop document and edit whatever I wanted to. Text takes 2 seconds to edit it. so that isn't a problem. I am sure there was a better way to do it, but with my lack of computer skills it was the best I could come up with.

It would be nice to have faster loading times though. I have no problem since I always have atleast cable, but I am sure some people with dial up may have a problem.

Editing text in photoshop may be 2 seconds, but let's not forget you still gotta go through all the successive steps in order to get the site viewable.

I think the use of FrontPage or some other html-specific program would be more beneficial to you. With images & tables, you're limiting yourself to 2 out of countless HTML tags. I would suggest utilizing the tools HTML provides for you, instead of imaging everything.

I understand if you lack computer skills 'cause we all start somewhere, but maybe while you're working on this site in its current implementation, you could just try messing around with FrontPage and learn how easy it is to accomplish some of the same feats. Then, once you feel you think you know enough about how to work with FrontPage or whatever program, convert the site over.

I know you feel you 'got it' now, but believe me, redoing your site w/o images is going to be inevitable. I would just start early while it's still in development!

At my job, there's a guy who designs the site in photoshop or whatever, then it's handed off to another guy to take what he sees on the screen and write the HTML for it (he uses some program; doesn't write the HTML by hand), and then that code is handed to me to get the database connectivity, logic, and processing code in. So photoshop is used to produce a general 'design' of the site, but we still use HTML to make it into a webpage.

Thanks a lot for the help. Yeah, it takes 2 seconds to edit, 5 to save as a web page, and then I have to go into dreamweaver and redo the links. So it takes about 3 minutes to update, which it normally would take about 10 seconds. I am sure I will end up converting it over and I do understand the got it now feeling. But I did notice those problems already.

Also, do you know how to convert from an html format back to a psd? I saved all of my pages as html, and now I can't edit them in Photoshop anymore. I do have them backed up, but they aren't the final copies I used for the site so it would take some editing to get them the way they appear on the site.

And frontpage is deff. the best way to go?

I learned all of this in about 3 weeks, including all of photoshop. So I am sure I could catch on somewhat quickly.

Thanks again.

Do you ask people before you quote them?
???

I believe we went through this before. Once again I will say the same thing I said last time. I have permission from Nick at SI to use anything off his site that I need. You pmed me about Showrides before, and then after I told you about what Nick said, I offered to take it down, and you said no it is ok. I appreciated how generous you were about the whole thing. Once again I will tell you the same thing. If it is a big problem I can take your testimonial off the page, but I would also talk to SI if you have a problem with it.
