Low bass in a Jeep Wrangler possible?

Well I'm still trying to tweak my new system in an '06 Wrangler Unlimited. I have a few questions and looking for advice.

Is it possible to obtain 40hz and lower in my vehicle?

Can it be done with a smallish box around .5-1 cu ft.? Me hates da boomy bass!

I prefer tight and accurate bass with excellent pace and rythym. Should I go ported or sealed? I currently have the new 10" shallow Premier woofer in a small box and it can't do the things I require.

Musical preference:

Jazz

Vocals

70's rock

Blues

Goals:

Louder and more powerful bass that I can feel. My Jeep is a soft top so the bass needs more volume to overcome road noise.

Currently running an Alpine PDX 4.150 amp. 2 channels run front components and two run the sub. Thanks!!!

deaden all the metal in your jeep...where your sub box will be placed and the sound waves should bounce off that and make it louder since it won't resonate and absorb as if it was was not deadened, and maybe add more power since that music isn't all bass like rap is, your choice in music preferences it's more instrumental, think of it that way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

Makes alot of sense. I currently don't seem to get any audible resonating, but worth a try. As far as adding more power; I can't even turn the gain up 1/4 of the way before the sub bottoms out on tough tracks of certain cd's. That's with the loudness function and BBE off on the HU. Patricia Barber's "Modern Cool" album kills my sub.
