Loudest setup in 10-12 cubes ported

With that much port area, I'd go with something AQ or DD or something that does well with a high tuning. You're looking at an 8 foot long port at 30hz

if ur looking at budget 18s look at cascade omegas. i have mts walled and they get plenty loud but not that great of sq for daily

Bro do 10 FI bl's but considering you only have 4kw maybe that wont be a good route..

also 2 18's fully loaded would be good but i would think you want another mm4000.1 to back them up..

PS 5-6cuft BTL 18's are fine..hell they play fine down to 4.25cu (loss in output for daily but still more then 15's and they'll handle a heck alot more power for those burps with higher numbers) before anyone flame me..i have the email from scott regarding that statment..

im thinking 8 10's, 6 12"s, 2 18"s, ive already done 4 10"s, 1 15", 1 18", 2 15"s, i just want to try different configurations. and now that ive done a wall, i could build another one slighly bigger to about 12 cubes net. so whatever will work best on 4kw and "budget" priced im game. the MAX i will spend on subs is $1,000, but preferrably $600.

i suggested the BL's becasue they only need .5cuft ported..ssd may be fine but ill do check the box recommends..

Get six D4 12" subs for a 1.34 final load...your MM4000.1 does 4kw at 2ohm, right?

how wide and deep is your box? wanna try a sealed clamshell? im personally going to do 12 12's in my maxima soon as i get out of college..

but you may be able to 8 12's sealed

my box can be right up to 48" wide, it would be reallly tight fitting 4 12"s side by side, i only have about 14" of depth, so all of the subs would probably be best on one flat baffle to maximize cubic feet in the box...

im not sure about sealed, i want the next setup to slam the low low's... i guess 8 12"s sealed would suffice for that. or 4 15" Q's sealed

If your gonna go sealed go 4 18" Qs or go home IMO. THe minimum recomended airspace is 4 cubes so you would be a little bit short. You may wanna go with three. That would murder the lows...

Surprised this hasn't been suggested yet, 6 AQ SDC2.5's seem to fit your bill perfectly OP. Not only would they be really loud, as shown by Jerimiah's drop in vs the HDC, but they would be receiving RMS off of your amp.
