Loudest Port Design?

Hey there. I've designed a box and I'll probably start that project in a month when I have time. I was just wondering why type of port is the loudest? I know people have had triangle ports/tubed ports/ slots/Etc. what's the loudest? Or is it just tuning your box to match your subs the important thing not worrying about the shape of the port? Thanks!

It's really situation dependent. In theory, round ports always win for efficiency, but there are many variables.
