Loudest box design?

Whats the loudest box design for crazy amounts of bass?

Im just getting back into car audio from a few years absense. I remember a friends car that was absoluly INSANE and he was only running one 10" rockford HX2 probably powered past its wattage rating, 9V preout and he had the sub in a tri tuned box.

Are trituned box's the loudest? i know thats a newb question but im just trying to find out what was making his system soo loud.

no worries man, I'm not dissapointed... but generally ported boxes are a bigger boom are they not?

Im just looking for a good box design for my 10" thats going to work well for the sub. it's a DVC rockford P3

there are a lot more factors like everyone has been saying. Some subs perform phenominally in one box and not so good in other boxes but some boxes that yield pretty crazy amounts of bass are like 4th order, 6th order granted the sub will perform in a box of that type.

Also heard the ABC aperiodic bi-chamber boxes yield some high output

Also horn type boxes but as far as which is loudest I'm not real sure
