Loud rx7 convertible

I need some new speakers for my 88 rx7 convertible. The car came with infinitys but they ****. It has a loud exhaust so they need to get somewhat loud with the top down. Door speakers are 5.25", dash is 4" and head rest is 3". I'm assuming I should just go with a pair of nice 5.25's and take out the others? I don't have an amp picked out yet either. Budget is $300-$400.

I'd get a soundstream t900.4 and amp those infinitys first. If you dont like those infinities still... then here's what i would do

2 of these since they are sold individually. Worth every dollar, loudest 5.25s on the market hands down.

one of this sold as pair. Have these mounted on the A pillar or sail panels firing directly towards your ears for best sound quality.

Should be extremely loud and good sounding if you have a capable head unit to tune the sound. If you have a basic head unit that has extremely limited tuning options then look into a pioneer mvh580 in the future because sound tuning is vital for good sound quality. The head unit makes ALL the difference in the world when it comes to sound quality.
