Loud Exaust?

Was wondering heard if you put a loud exaust system on your car that the police will stop you and give you a ticket... but i see alot of people that have them so was just wondering?

all depends on your local cops. Ive got a few friends with loud exhausts and it just depends on the area/cop. But then again i am in chicago so im not sure in FL.

well, it's annoying as hell... if i want my vehicle to fart down the road i guess i would get a loud exhaust.. so depends on the cop...

an exhaust is needed by a car...or else u wouldnt like the noise it would make without one

Umm, they can pull you over and give tickets for noise violations. I know if it is over somemany db's they can write you a ticket. But it kinda depends on if the cop wants to be a prick. I have the HKS Hi-Power exhuast plus other things and it is loud and I havent been pulled over yet. FYI, Mine doesnt sound like a fart can, it is one of the few that sounds good it has an internal resonator inside of the muffler and one in the mid pipe.

depends completely on the cop, they likely wont just pull you over for that, but the more likely chance would be speeding and he tacks that on too.

sense the moto cops down here run harleys with extremely loud exhaust, they have no right to pull anyone over for loud exhaust...even the police cars have aftermarket duals...but thats down here, no one cares down here haha

Well MY burban has dual exhaust with no cats and headers with bullets and Ive never been pulled over in the FLA and it is loud as $hit.

i agree because i find the wine far more annoying and in many cases louder than the low rumble of a standard flowmaster

I have a mach 1 with twin turbo's and Borla exhaust with custom headers. Down in the south, nothing to worry about. in emission states i would watch out. AND I CANT STAND THE FART CANS. expecially if they have a turbo. the rev up with blow off and think they are god. Until i rev with a man sounding exhust with blow off's hehe

Sure you would shut them up on a straight away but I bet you couldnt keep up with those little imports on a country road or an auto-x.
