You're lucky it doesnt use a transponder key, the dealer loves ripping people off to cut a blank and reprogram them.

I was quoted about $90 for a spare key for my Mitsu Spyder.

Hoenstly thats about how much they are. The new 07 keys are $170 from Chrysler if you want the one with the keyless transmitter in the head.

I know:crap: , pisses me off that my local (cheaper) locksmith cant program keys.

Not only do I get screwed on the price I have to drive 50 miles to the nearest Mitsubishi dealer.

Don't feel bad my buddy lost a key to his mercedes and its near $500.00 for a **** key with keyless on the head. :0

When I worked for Nissan, our COST on most of the keys was almost $90.
