lost another one to drugs.

I think it's sad that people have such a negative connotation of something just because it was made illegal by the government. Last time I checked, the government isn't always right. As a matter of fact, our government is pretty infamous for some pretty huge fuck ups.

some people cant think for themselves //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i would still like to know why the med clubs are being raided? for example this was for a california dispensary. sooooo why is this happening still? why are we having medical patients who are legally entitled access, going into our jail system?

• The City Council is sworn to uphold State Law. Attorney General Bill Lockyer states "It is not the business of the State to enforce Federal Law."• Article 3 Section 3.5 © of the California Constitution states "An agency has no power to refuse to enforce State Law on the basis Federal Law prohibits enforcement of the State Law."

I'd rather lose a friend to prison because of drugs rather than lose them to drugs themselves. Its sad what distance can be put between pals because of simple choices.

"See I think, drugs have done good things for us,I really do. And if you don't believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a favor. Go home tonight, take all your albums, all your tapes, and all your CDs, and burn them. 'Cause you know what? The musicians who made all that great music that's enhanced your lives throughout the years? Reeeeeeeal fucking high on drugs." - R.I.P Bill Hicks

looked it up and sure enough that is true...blame the school system for teaching me that one...
but anyways, nobody said the feds dont have power over the states. the fact is though, that the people want something different, and it isnt happening. how many more states do we need to legalize, at least medical marijuana, before someone opens up their ****ing eyes and says "hmm, maybe this is what the people actually want"?

so its a republic...big deal. its basically the same thing. those people are suppose to represent you, me, him, her etc. and when a majority of US citizens want it legalized....and the ****ing yuppies vote the complete opposite, wtf is going on?

Perhaps you are selecting the wrong candidates.

It doesn't matter if 60% of the people want it if they aren't the ones in the voting booth.

I agree with your quote however Congress has a nice little ace up its sleave.

See, states depend on funds from the federal govt for an assortment of projects including roads, schools, yadda yadda yadda.

They could say, "If you don't enforce the federal laws, we will suspend funding." Now, it is up to CA to fully fund everything.

That is how Congress has the drinking age at 21. Not all states would pass the law and it's a states rights issue. So they threatened to cut road funds to pressure states into passing the law.

well i do my part. i participate in anyway i can to try to change things, as little as that maybe. and i do my part as far as voting.

maybe its my ignorance to the fact that most people dont vote? i kinda use my own experience and say "well i stand up for what i want, and i know others do too"...maybe thats the wrong mentality //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

2nd quote: yes, i know the funding issue as well. however i dont see how they can get away with it. i mean i do, but it seems like a fine line. having discussions like this is quite depressing, when you realize you, being a joe schmoe, you are so limited in what you can do.

I must admit, pot heads do get on my nerves too. I like to think of myself as a beneficial citizen to society, and this alone separates me from every single person who sits in their parents basement and toke on their bong all day.

I agree pot heads get on my nerves as well. I see a difference between people that get high every once in a while, and pot heads. Pot heads are the people that make weed their lifestyle, its all they talk about, its all they do, they think its cool...etc

I'm older though, closin in on 30 and know alot of people from work circles and friends that smoke weed. Many holding high level, even executive level jobs, not just sitting on the couch. Now thats not to say I don't know some "pot heads" either.

Pot heads are just like alcoholics. You can be a "beneficial citizen to society" with the occasional toke or the occasional drink, but use either to excess and you will go from being benefecial to society to a drain on society.

Smoking weed doesn't instantly make you a deadbeat, just makes you happy and hungry //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Excess makes you a deadbeat

Well said duece, I agree 100% I have friends that smoke. Great example, actually twin borthers. One smokes and drinks almost every day, always has a few ounces on him lol. Everyone finds him to be a screw up, he even threw a bottle in class full of his own jiss at the teacher(IDK, dont ask). Then his brother smokes a couple times a week, awesome guy, 2nd best player on the varsity soccer team, and it's fun as hell when he's high.

Everything in moderation.....just not any hardcore drugs:crap:
