Looking to brew my own beer...

Looks like a nice complete kit man. I fukd up and got a kit that didn't come with a wort chiller. The first few batches ****** ass waiting forever for it cool enough to dump in the carboy. Didn't take long before I ran out and got a chiller.

That kit looks quite complete, but I would strongly suggest that you wait before investing such a large amount in something you may find to be a complete turn-off.

My recommendation (based on a number of years all-grain home brewing myself) would be to get a basic equipment kit and one of the ready-made 'wort' kits and see if you like the process of making beer first. A wort kit is basically everything made up for you - all you have to do is dump it in a fermenter, aerate and add the yeast.

Enjoying the hobby is enjoying the process in making beer and not the beer itself. Many folks dive right in and find it to be a real pain because 90% of the time they are prepping, cleaning, sanitizing etc. which is not what they came to expect. Then after a couple of batches, the stuff gets thrown into the corner and forgotten about.

If you want to know more, shoot me a PM - I'll be happy to share my experiences with you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Best,

funny. i was thinking about growing my own marjiuana.
x2 x2 x2

Anyways, To brew your own alcoholic beverage in most states you are required to have a permit, Even if it's just for you, I'd look into that first before even buying the little kit's & If your state doesn't require the permit, Make it a laugher =]

About how long does it take to make a complete batch?
A beer or a cider usually only takes a few weeks, but then you have to bottle it and let it sit a few weeks more to carbonate....or buy kegging equipment and force carbonate it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
