Lookin for info on RTA's

I was talking with the boss today about ideas to get more car audio traffic in the store and I came up with the suggestion "Dyno your system only xxbucks" for a small amount of money we would test your systems frequency response and do an spl check.

Up here in Saskatchewan there is no where to go to get this done, nobody has the equipment and I think there may be niche market for it along with advertising it would generate like-"Hey man I heard you can go over to Logan's and see how loud your car will go"

The boss figures it could work but needs more info on the equipment he would need and how much he would have to invest. We won't need state of the art equipment, just somthing that works, not for competition purposes, just somthing thats decently accurate.

What would you reccomend for equipment? John says that he doesn't wan't to spend any more than 400 bucks on this.

heres a REALLY good RTA - but theres alot of other stuff you might not need included in that processor;

here is an alright SPL meter, usually eaiser to score higher on this than the termlab mic that is used by all large competitions;

here is (arguably) the best SPL meter, they also sell a new RTA version for around the cost of the onese above, if you can id suggest getting this RTA+DB meter if you have the money, its arguably the best one out there, and it gets updated regularly. but you would need a laptop to utilize the meter.;
