so left the lights on in my truck, battery died, so lost all of the above settings

the kicker 6.5's coaxs (rear) bc of no rear speakers in the truck as of now, and the memphis audio 4x6's in the dash are considered the front. i have the 6.5's running of a kx200.2 and that has a hpf/lpf on that pretty sure i have the xover set to around 70-80hz. looking for suggestions to set my 5band EQ on my 9853. im confused by all the choices on where to set it and to what db lever. Also looking for some crossover help like good ranges for the lows, mids, and highs. Also what to do with the time correction? pretty small truck (ext cab s10) are they needed? Im tyring to do the Alpine I-personalize thing this time so if it happens again i have the settings on a cd. thanks.

heres what im thinking

LOWS-25->60ish

MIDS-65-100

HIGHS-100-^

any suggestions would be appreciated.

had a dealer set it up btw. the music is sounding pretty flat. all of the preset EQs arent doin it for me either like the users EQ that they set up did.

unfortunately, one of us could do it for you, but it would be wrong. All those settings are affected by your exact speaker placement, what you are running, the things in your truck. Time alignment is pretty easy, find a song that has somebody talking in it(book, intro to a song, w/e). Usually those speaking parts are supposed to be perfectly centered. So, mess with the time alignment till it sounds like the voice is in the center of your dash. As for the eq, mess with it till it sounds good, I usually use an rta to flatten things out, but most people don't have one of those.

horrible frequency settings.
lows-

20-250

mids-

250-700

high-

700-20k

that should be pretty sweet.
those sir...are horrible frequency settings. I would say lowpass the sub at 60 or 80, and then high pass the mid at either 60 or 80, depending on what you chose for your sub. You bass should blend with the midrange so it sounds like it's in front of you, instead of booming away behind you. You should not be able to hear the transition between your mids and your sub. If you have coax's, then you don't have to mess with a highpass for your highs.

My EQ is personally set to flat and everything blends seamlessly. More time was spent finding proper xover points and slopes and adjusting the center image by ear using time alignment

Off topic:

kinda thread jacking, but, how does that IDQ sound in a 1/2 cube?
It sounds great and gets pretty low (lightly packed with polyfil). It has great out put with only 200W RMS.

my bad i misread what he was using them for. but those are around the frequencies you would want to have for lows, mids, and highs. trust me, thats how they are seperated when recording, but they have a low mid. so i put the low mid, and low together.
