lookin for a 32" lcd hdtv...

I just can't wait till I get an HD-DVD player to actually hook up to my tv....right now everything is only able to be viewed at 720(my games) or 1080i(upconverting the dvds).

cool, I was actually gonna get the samsung syncmaster 245bw 1080p 24", i went to check it out and the image was VERY clean... but in their website it doesnt say its 1080p.... in fact, nowhere else does. how can I be sure its 1080p?

look at the specs....somewhere it should say a resolution....

in that case, some other factors come into play with a computer monitor. There is an equation you can use to see what the monitor will produce without any kind of strain.....you have to look at the dot pitch and then do some stuff. I forgot the equation I'll have to look it up....

I bought a Polaroid 3211-TLXB, 32" 1080p LCD for ~$500. It's sexcellent.

*and includes an in-home repair warranty?! score. Circuit city.

I think they threw that in there for advertising gimmick. That's an expensive monitor. I think last year I paid a little under 200$ for a 22" widescreen westinghouse.

Yes it can do 1080p with a little stretch in the horizontal view.
