Why not wall it off?

Rear horns.... are insain tho..

Ive heard a couple and was blown away. THERE IS ALOT of work to it tho, its not just throwing a box together and "aimming" the port to the front. there is alot of claculations to it.

It's a DD car, still wanted to see out the back. Thought about doing it alot anyways. Had a "half wall" idea. That drawing was his idea. He said it would be louder and sound better on music. And with just a half wall with the port in the front, he said I would have to tune really high to get a lot of output. Sooooo, that's where I am today.

To sum up, didn't want a wall, and his designs will suit my tastes. (Loud and able to play music)

I don't think that's a rear horn...looks like a standard bass reflex to me.

Hmm I thought that was the setup for a rear horn...

If thats just a basic bass reflex then first off its alot easier to do... but if its not a rear then... what is a rear horn look like....?

BTW, that drawing is what I "got" from him telling the design to me... When it's done, I'll post up pics-a-plenty for ya, and probably a vid when I go to his place and get put on a TL... Need another amp for that though...

Go to region 3 shows where Team XFL is present... The designer/builder is James Carrol, he owns Dana Audio in Harriman, TN... You couldn't possibly miss him at a show... He would be the ~60ish yr old guy working on XFL's CRX'es or the van (when it goes to shows) with a wall...

I learn more in an hour talkin to that guy, than in any other scenario I could possibly imagine....

He HAS forgotten more about Car Audio than I WILL EVER know...
