Look at this 1/0 I just bought

glad i went with the kicker then...
Sucks I don't have alot of room to play with underhood //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif could have saved a couple pennies.
i'm glad you paid $5 a foot just to have a little more flexibility too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

That wire is actually very flexible. It is the typical welding wire. The Knu Kollosus, new Kicker and Lighting audio is actually the size of there 2/0 cable. Look below for actual pics of that exact same wire compared to some other misc.. brands.

Wire Comparison

That orange wire in the middle is the 1/0ga you will receive (may be a different color but still the same exact wire). As you can see the Lighting Audio 0ga is the same size as there 2/0ga. I have some new Kicker, Knu Kollosus that I compaired them all to. You can easily fit that 0ga wire in a 0ga crimp ring and you cannot fit the Knu, Kicker or Lighting Audio wire in a 0ga crimp rings w/ out cutting any of the strands off. You have to use the 2/0 crimp rings on the other 3 brands. That welding wire is actually more flexible than the Knu and Lighting Audio wire but not the kicker of course.

I had them ship me about 18in of all the different sizes and they did for free so I could compare them in size.

Glad you guys approve. I bought it on impulse and after I sent paypal I was like, I gotta tell someone kuz this is just too cheap to be good stuff and what was I thinking. I thought it was pretty kickass how they will print on the wire for you. If this stuff is any count when it gets here, I will let you know.

I think people have #1 and #2 wire mixed up. I strip copper sometimes for cash on the side and #1 is stiff as shit and no way would I use it. I got a few strands of 2ga that I will use for my big 3 probably just kuz it was free.

wire is wire. go with what's cheapest. also i didn't notice any size difference between knu and welding wire. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Thats good. I've always been out for the "cheaper price and higher quality" stuff regardless of name.

The new copper / aluminum wire from Knu is a good buy as well @ $1.75 per foot. Not quite as cheap as this e-bay deal, though, it's a good catch.

It is sized like the Kolossus (2/0) and therefore has nearly identical resistance to standard 1/0 pure copper wire. I will say he isn't kidding about it being light... it feels lighter than an equivalent length of Kolossus 4 AWG.

I will try and take some pictures tonight and show you the difference in size. You can tell the difference when you try to use a 0ga crimp ring on the Knu. It will fit the 0ga welding wire easily and you have to cut some of the strands of copper to make it fit on the Knu Kollosus wire and the new Kicker wire.
