lol @ the idiots thinking f bodys and fox's can handle

Wow Eugenics you really know how to stir the pot.

Here is my contribution to this crazy thread.

When i first got my 2003 911 Turbo I had my A** handed to me by a 93 twin turbo Foxbody. Not to be undone 3 weeks later a 2000 something Jetta had his way with me again. Very humbling experiences to say the least.

Who cares if a T/A is not a curve carver, and who cares if that S2000 is at home on a race track. The majority of us will never have our cars out on a track flying thru the twisties.

Most people here hang out somewhere in their town in a parking lot and that's normally where the race is talked up. Next stop is usually the highway or some stoplight where they race from a dig or from a roll. Not some track like Sears point or laguna Seca. Just a strip of road.

T/A's and other assorted domestic V8 cars handle very well for what they were designed for and are killers in straight lines. Imports on the other hand do the same very well and with these new horsepower wars they are slowly catching up in the straight line performance category as well. For the arguement to befair I think we could have some more appropriate, precise titles to these threads.

Here are some examples.....

LOL @ the idiots thinking F Bodys and Fox's can handle well on a racetrack

LOL @ the idiots thinking imports can beat me at the dragstrip

LOL A the idiot with the import thinking he can beat my V8

LOL @ the idiot with the V8 thinking he can beat my import

LOL @ the arguement over import vs. domestic (my personal favorite)

This arguement will never end but it sure is fun reading these threads. We went from handling, to straight line performance, to which dyno is more accurate, to you are such a ricer, to what is a ricer, to "you have no clue", to "yes I do", to who cares and we're still going.

Now isn't this fun guys

so just because a fox beat someone who didn't know how to drive his car very well at the time it means fox's are great handlers? My argument is not that the T/A's and Fox's are horrible cars. And if anyone could read past everyone elses arguments and bullshit they would notice that.

I stated that they are not very good at handling... and thats the truth. I stated that there are many other cars that can handle much better. and its the truth. a lot of those are domestics as well, i just chose to focus on the imports because the cars that do well on a track (as far as handling is concerned) seem to start at lower price points.

i've also stated that the interior quality is rubbish.... so?

I never said that it was a great handler. I was driving my Porsche and it was on the highway. Handling never came into play, and I do know how to drive my car very well.

Well if you are reffering to driving one on a track then that is the truth. If you are reffering to daily driving, traffic swerving well I think they do just fine.

No arguement here, but I think most American cars fail in this dept. but that's because consumers haven't demanded that they be improved.

why were you even comparing how fast they were in a straight line when we were discussing handling? of course a twin turbo stang beat you in a straight line. Its physics. a a 350ci blown gremlin would've probably handed both of your ***** to you
