You guys that are all talking up DC need to take a look at things. Not saying they are not good but there not even included in this whole mess. Reason being is because until they get in the game of building and selling amps you cant even include them. Even if you are relating to customer service only.
Im sure if you ask Dj, or Jacob that just selling subs compared to selling both subs and amps is a whole other ball game.

Yeah DC ordered the 1k,2k, and 3k board from zenon using the atomic/RD tooled heatsink... I forgive you for making such a foolish mistake, but only because you have what appears to be Lanny Barbie as your ava.

How about the ELT12? Made all in China, possibly the best SPL amp ever produced. My buddies won Street A with it and SSNW was won with them as well. Cactus and Hertz tend to be known for quality... wonder why they went chinese.

All D series amps are zenon, as I have asked the question as well.

Congrats I have two as well. You have a subwoofer with absurd flux variation, no power compression and if youve ever seen a FEA model of one, youd laugh as hard as I have when it comes to inefficiency. BTW I think the lvl5s are the only motors I have ever reconed where I needed more then 3 shims, I think I used 5 or 6 on each... talk about inefficiency. Ask anyone who really knows about subwoofers, using such an absurd amount of ferrite is a prekindergarten atempt to make a a powerful subwoofer. Any intelligent acoustic engineer can create the same amount of flux compression with 1/3 the ferrite, easily.

I'll add my 2 cents.

I had to recone a lvl4 xl for a buddy. I had to use 5 notecards, which is ridiculous.

On my 9512 I can barely get 3 sheets of that thin plastic stuff they send with recones. I tried using the plastic sheets on the DC and actually ran out of them before it was tight enough (I had 6 or 7 in there).

I'm hoping to try his xl against my 9512 and see how it does. I'm not holding my breath.

Fo sho, you want to know why my 1,2,3,3.5,and 5k's are all Zenon ? Same with my HD's, you want to know why they're all samsung and not visio's ?

Btw, I know there is no best but, I do know how reliable most Zenon amps are.
