Way I see it is if they were scammers why would they buy RD and then scam more people since RD has a bad name already, if they started a new company and then scammed that would make sense.... I've spoken with both the new owners now, and honestly they do seem like they are going to fix everything that they "can" fix, and continue to offer product. One thing they stressed was no more pre-sale crap, they want to have the stuff built and ready sitting in the warehouse before selling any of it. I think that's a great idea, and once they get through the first couple nightmares of dealing with the previous problems and start shipping out stuff timely, honoring their warranty etc, they will be fine, people will start to feel confident again. Some of the bad stuff that happened before they took over they may not be able to fix, but they are going to fix what they can. They already have another sucessful business, that helps too, so they obviously know what they are doing already, not newcomers, maybe to owning a brand, but not to the car audio business.

Due to brand reputation, it would have served them much better to reproduce their own versions of the same products and start a new brand. Cannot believe someone would pay for that name.

In some perspectives, yeah, you are right. But the 'ol saying, " Even bad publicity can be a good thing..." is possibly what these guys could be thinking partially. I mean, just look at all the people who STILL wanted to buy RD products even with all the people getting screwed over (including myself)...says something about the products that people will always remember.

Screw the whole branding campaign, it's all ready been established. All they have to do is clean up the mess. Won't be hard to do since people are already sold on the products and word will travel fast for 'em.

As far as I know, they are not at the point of filling orders yet, still trying to figure out where product is, who is owed what, etc. And handling the legal aspects. I expect that in due time you will get taken care of. Steve gave them a list of what was owed to who, how complete or accurate that list is, well, that's not something anybody but you guys and Steve would know. So basically, give them another week or so to get things straightened out and I am sure they will be posting all their contact info. They don't want it posted yet because they are already on the phone non-stop tying up loose ends with the buyout and a bunch of customers calling would only make things take longer. Once the "dust" settles a little they will be posting contact info, this is what they told me.

I must not come here to ca.com often enough, lol. I am the authorized repair shop for Sundown Audio, DC Audio, Incrminator Audio, Stetsom, RD Audio and Atomic. Not a business partner with any of them really, just their repair shop. We are also Authorized dealer for Sundown Audio, Incriminator Audio, Stetsom.

Actually I haven't talked to Steve since January. I talked with his buddy, the "RD Audio New Guy" more than Steve himself.... lots of promises to pay for these warranty repairs and never did. Now it's all good or so it seems with the new owners, they have already paid.
