Honestly, those prices don't surprise me. I don't think people realize how common a 200% markup is when it comes to subwoofers.

But i have no choice, Tonight i have had too much of rd audio's drama..

 

It started when i ordered my recone a week before finals for my hw 10, i know steve was busy so he told me he couldnt get it out till after finals. I was fine with that... well it ended up being about two weeks after finals until he built it and i got it two weeks after that. so a month or so after i order my recone i recieve it. I get the recone but no coil guide and no basket and screws like i asked.... I was getting a little impatient but not in any hurry so i called him and asked for a basket and coil guide he said he would get it out the next day. so i figured it would show up three or 4 days later but nothing so i called back and he said he could check after the weekend so i call on monday to no answer. I figured he was busy so was cool with it. call back the next day and he says it will be there thursday a week after he said he shipped it i recieve the package and it says on the label it was shipped that monday.. WTF right.

 

so i open that package and its a 12 inch basket which i needed a ten inch so at this point my patience is really short so this time i call him a little agrivated and the 10 basket gets here alot quicker with some free rca's and a wiring harness for my truck so im pretty satisfied until tonight.

 

Tonight im reconing the the sub and i come up with a problem that i need to talk to steve on so i figured it would be no problem to call him and ask the quick ? so i call and he answers and i started asking the question and he says il call u back in a 2 seconds and hangs up here it is 5 hours later with no call back enough is enough i had a simple ? i dont care how busy anyone is this customer service is horrible and there is a large possibility i will NEVER run rd again after tonight i just wanted this out there

Wow Steve lying again... I must say I do not feel the least bit sorry for you dumb fucks who order from him. He is as scandalous as they come, this had been mentioned time and time again. Im not talking shit about IA, Im saying everyone in the business knows there is issues with the DP 21"s at least with that diameter former used. I know im a noob and I don't know shit about this sport but that is common sense. Also if you've ever run finite elemental analysis models on a DP based motor(just draw up MT specs with a pole piece) you will see very fast why it is nothing special, sorry but when a company comes out talking about what makes them better then the rest, I expect just that. Nothing against Nick Wright, I like that he took chances something most companies dont care to do, I just feel he went about it the wrong way.

PS... I dont know anything about Car Audio... just what you teach me.

That is still not right.......how many times do we have to say that there is NO PROBLEM with our subwoofers before you are going to believe it? There has not been a single 21" subwoofer that has blown up because of a 3" voice coil. Must not be common sense.

Have you ever ran an FEA on our motor? Obviously not if you are comparing it to an MT......did Nick send you our drawings? LMAO
