LOL i went to an audio shop today.

my friends just got a new 06 civic and he wanted to swap the aftermarket HU from his old car to this one, and apparently they didnt make the mounting kits for the new civics yet. So we get to talking to one of those dudes... and he told my friend he needed not only a HI-Lo converter, but an AC Three.1 as well...isnt all you need to install an amp w/o an aftermarket HU a LOC? I mean you can cross crap over at the amp and he doesnt NEED the EQ from the Three.1, and the guy said he NEEDs the line driver for the higher voltage and less distortion. gonna charge him 585.00 for a Three.1, DEI Hi-Low converter, and install a 4 channel amp w/8 gauge wire. Its just extra money being spent IMO.

wat is your take on this? i say all he needs is a LOC and we can do the installation ourselves.

yeh ebay has the loc for like 28shipped and isntall it for free, um turn the gain up to match the signal...

dont need anything but a LOC (i wouldnt get the cheapest one eaither) and a wirekit (sides the dashkit\harness if he finds one)

that is what we did in my Volvo 960, it actually has a nice little radio unit so we got a LOC and my cousin and I hooked it up ourselves, a little tricky at first, but it works well. But yeah, all you need is a LOC, i think I got mine from Circuit City for about $30. $30>>>$585
