Dear friend,
I am looking to launch a website. I need a logo. This is where you come in. Here's a little information about you, to save some time:

• You are a gfx designer.
  
• You are capable of making one-off logos and such for a website.
  
• You don't **** at making logos. It's OK if you do, but I have no need for a sucky logo today, friend.
  
• You want to get involved in the launching of this website because you understand that it might be good for you, in case it takes off.
  

And now, me:

• I want this website to take off, but need to fill some gaps. This is one such gap.
  
• I will pay you for your gfx work, as best I can.
  
• I will invite you to do more work, if possible.
  

And finally, the site:

• criminallydumb.com - Registered at Namecheap.com
  
• It's going to be about stupid crimes/criminals. (I know it seems simple, but there is an engaging hook.)
  
• It's going to be editorialized by me and "webmastered" by a friend.
  

That's it. How much will you get? $25 for first place. And $5 for every other contestant that produced a nice piece.

Fine print:

• If I give you money, I own the gfx/art and the right to alter it as necessary. Please be clear on this point.
  
• Please, don't illegally use anything in your work. If you must, use this: Compfight / A Flickr Search Tool. Use anything there. Use discretion.
  
• All entries must be original.
  

Guidance:

• This is going to go into a banner, top and center of the site.
  
• May be used in other parts of the site.
  
• Remember the purpose of the site, incorporate relevant elements (i.e. police siren, handcuffs, your own idea).
  
• Please, limit questions. Don't peak at other people's tests, either.
  

That's it. Awards will be Paypaled at the conclusion of the contest. Contest will close when the quality/number of entries starts to slow/stop or by June 10, whichever comes first. Thanks for looking.

Wrong.

In fact many things people sign (even in actual printed form are not binding, but go ahead thinking you are correct) are not binding.

Basically, this medium does not provide the proper medium for a binding contract PERIOD.
