LOC's burning up

Okay i have 2 Alpine type E 12's and a volfenhag 800w amp, i have burned up two LOC's now, both have been tsunami's. Both of them had been correctly installed. i have no idea of why they keep burning up, if someone could help that would be much appreciated

Couple of questions:

What vehicle is this?

Do you have a factory amplified system?

I'm on my 3rd loc.I'm running it right off my 6x9's,and I have a factory amplified bose set up.well the first 1 came un velcro from my rear deck and fell on my sub,and did not know till the sub beat it to death.That one was RF it held up till it took the beating.2nd one got from wallmart cuz nothing was open and on the ride back from work the next day it was done.Now I have one from axxcess and its been in for 8months or so with no problems. They should really be installed before the amplified power,but the 6x9's wires are plain as day when you pop the trunk(usally)so thats where I'm tapped.

You say burnt up,are the rca conectors loose? mine were loose every time the loc failed

Some LOCs are just cheaply build and handle 20-30w max. Others are build to handle more power (up to 60-80w).

If you have a factory amp, you may want to just solder RCAs directly into the factory system pre-amp.

I have a 2008 Honda Civic, it has a factory amp. my LOC's were connected to the factory sub wires.

and as burning up, the chip inside gets fried and the outside melts. The black rca works fine but the red doesnt work at all this happened with both of my LOC's. i checked wiring of subs and amp and all is fine.
