Locked My keys in my Truck

Well i was out in my garage running new speaker wire for my rainbow components. i just bought a fish steal to make it easier (and boy does it!) so i get all the wire ran and 2 mids and 1 tweet hooked up. i close my door and go over to the other side of my truck to install the last tweet but the door wont open. so i go to the other side and its locked to! i must have hit the lock when i was removing the door pannels. now i have to sti here with my radio playing in the truck (truck is off) and wate for AAA to get here to unlock it. normally i can unlock it with a wire hanger or comething but for some reason the NBS SIlverado seems pretty hard. This BLows!

This is why I no longer leave my keys in my car when I'm working on it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I be sure to leave them either in my pocket or on my workbench.

Only mine was really stupid......I was in my trunk adjusting my gains and what not, with the keys on the trunk floor. Hop out of the trunk, close the lid, hop into the car to listen to the settings, reach into my [empty] pocket to pull out my keys......and then realize that my keys were still on the trunk floor //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Luckily my g/f was home at the time, so I used her spare set to get into my trunk.

Dang i was sitting inside watching Family guy wating for AAA to call (they usually do when they are on the way) when all of a sudden i get a knock on my garage door and theres the tow truck guy sitting there with my keys. quite impersonal if you ask me. i would have liked to watch! but now i have my keys back and they will stay in my pocket. I only left them in the truck so i could turn the truck on when the battery got low as i listen to my sterio while working on it. BUT NO MORE! in the pocket they will stay

I've locked my keys in my car one time and it wasnt even my fault. My friend hit the lock button on accident as we were gettin out. Luckily we were stopping at a friends house and not like a store or something. A coat hanger and 5 minutes and I was back in.

Whenever I wash my car or mess with it I set them off somewhere so I know they're not gonna get stuck in the car. That or just put em around my neck - I love lanyrds.

i did that twice when installing my wire. both in the same night.

the first time i had AAA come out and do it, and then not an hr later i locked my keys in there again (ignition on, car running this time). but luckely i watched the guy do it and i did it myself this time with a few scraps of wood wedged in the door and a coat hanger.

i now keep the coat hanger in the garage next to my car, cuz i know im gonna do it again. haha

Edit: i have a lanyard too, but the first time i locked the keys in the car they were in my pocket, and when i sat in the drivers seat they got caught around the stick and pulled out of my pocket without me realising it. now hows that for bad luck!

Been going good! I know i havnt been on here in forever just had a lot going on. I moved into a new place with Buck. i got tons of side jobs i do now that im an electrician I love getting paid under the table! and just recently got Cable internet

Yup I didnt get one of those when i bought my truck
