I always check for an easy access to a factory grommet, if theres not one then I just drill a hole in a place that is visible both inside the car and out.
I've seen a couple of installations done that way, but it's usually do to the numerous runs of larger diameter wires. I'm sure it's rather safe if done correctly, and it's difficult to conceal 2 or more runs of 1/0 under the carpet.my next setup is going under the car
Yeah and thats where I'm going with it bro... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/scared.gif.f134e57c6c93ccd0f15aa5ac32c7d4a0.gifI've seen a couple of installations done that way, but it's usually do to the numerous runs of larger diameter wires. Definately... go check out steve meade's installs on wiringi'm sure that as long as its loomed up and secured to the frame it'll be alright... just make sure to run it ABOVE and away from the skidplates, axles, exhaust and whatnot, so that you don't have to undo your cables to do work on the car.
PVC would make for a clean install. Good idea.I have built several system where I have needed to run the wire under the car. As long as it is ran through some sort of conduit (PVC works well) and is securely bolted to the frame and is kept away from the exhaust and gas lines it should be fine, alot faster than fussing under the hood looking for a gromet or a hole
