O, there was one just last weekend i do believe. How was it? Pretty competitive, big systems and shit? I looked on there website and it said "single subs and 200 watts are competitive at our shows" or something like that, i was wondering how much truth there is to that?

what kind of "tools" are needed to set gains that you dont have? allen wrenches and a screwdriver?

lol alot of people running grand prixs and like 98 civics then they have bambam runnin his van with 4 18s but he sold it i heard, we brought a cavalier with 2 12" atomics and other time 2 12 audioque's other than that they were all running around 200-1500w, alot of people were runnin boston acoustics and memphis

dmm and test tones which i guess i could get test tones but ya i rewired my shyt and it just didnt sound right so i wanted to just drop it off and have them tune it up and make it sound good and they want 75 an hour...

Hmm, what kinda numbers were people putting up? I dono much about the numbers really, like i said ive never been to a comp. I was just wondering if i would ever have a chance there if i had my shit together next year, and its in a trunk car. Right now the only thing i have is the sub, i need all the other electrical and an amp to actually get loud. Ive got a 9515d, and a second that needs reconed so ill have two eventually. Sorry to thread jack ha

cheap kenwood head unit

alpine type s comps, all 4 running off head unit (for now)

autotek ss1900.1d amp

omega 15 2000 watt rms sub and the box is something like 3.5 cubed at like 30. stock electrical besdies big 3.

had it running on 8 awg power wire until yesterday lol.. just finally got ahold of some 1/0 wire and now it doesnt sound right (hence the thread lol)

Well atleast you got the power wire upgraded now. Hope you can get it figured out, and not have to pay a shop a ton to get it tuned.

Did you mess with the gains when you rewired it or just put in the new wire and left all the settings alone? If you didnt mess with settings, that seems weird that it doenst sound right now with the bigger power wire.

yes i left all the settings and gains..i need to re check my ground cus its just on a bracket coming off the chassis and there is constant bass comin from my sub when my car is tunred on but radio off... im hoping thats the problem but ill have to check tomorro

O ya definitly check that out first. That more than likely has something to do with it. I mean thats not normal. You have something wired wrong or bad connection somewhere for that to happen. Id be willing to bet its fine after you figure that out. Make sure both power and ground have good connections, scrap the paint off the ground point good too.
