LOC with 2005 Maxima Bose system. Which wires?

Ok ok, I know this topic has been beat to death, but I still can't find an answer to my exact question.

2005 Maxima with Bose system and powered Bose Subs on rear deck.

I located the +\- sub wires that come from the main Bose amp, and tapped into them before the are fed into the powered Bose Sub Amp.

For a couple years, I've had a simple Scosche LOC. I've taken the L+ and R+ and twist d them together, mimicking the same with the - wires. I've then taken those and connected them to the +\- dedicated Bose wires that output from the Bose amp. From what I can tell from the wiring diagram, I've tapped into the dedicated Bose subwoofer wires PRE subwoofer amp.

This has been okay, and given me enough bump that I can get from a simple 500 watt Alpine pushing a newer Alpine Type S. Am I doing this right? By tapping into a post Bose Amp, but pre Bose Dub amp, I'm under the impression I'm getting the Main Bose Amp's subwoofer signal that has not yet been amplified. It's like I'm getting a dedicated Subwoofer like out that I then connect to my LOC in order to have RCAs to feed the Alpine Amp.

I wish there was someone I could call to talk to about this, as I'm not 100% convinced I'm getting the best signal. If anyone experienced feels like giving me a hand, pm me and I'll pm yoivmy number. I'm in NH. Thanks so much!!
