LOC, powered Sub issue

Hello everyone,

Looking for some insite on an issue I'm having. My set up is pretty simple... 2015 Ford Focus SE factory stereo (no sony) installing a powered sub for some extra bass.

I used an LOC to tap into the front speakers since they have dedicated woofers, so I figured the signal would be better.. (I could be completely wrong)

Ran the RCAs to the back, ran power from the battery, and tapped into the rear fuse panel for the remote 12v. Grounded the powered sub in the trunk.

On to the issue... when I turn the car on, the power light on the sub turns on, but as soon as I plug the RCAs into the sub, the darn thing shuts off? If I barely hold the RCAs to their ports, the sub starts working? But if securely plugged in it powers off.

Any idea where to start trouble shooting this issue?

Thanks

Which LOC are you using? Pics of how its wired would help. Sounds like something in the LOC isnt wired correctly. Start by unplugging the rcas from the loc and plugging into the amp. Does it stay on or go off?

You can also try taking your cell phone or mp3 player with a 3.5mm to RCA adapter and plugging it it directly into the amp.
