LOC in 99 Jeep?

My jeep has the stock head unit which i want to keep if possible to get my system loud with.....

It has the factory infinity speakers and amp in it as well, the amp is under my back seat....

Here is the question, I was thinking of getting a 2 channel LOC with remote, splicing into the speaker wires where they go into the amp, wire the LOC there......And wiring my 2 Alpine MRP-450's up and using the remote off of it for them both and hooking the RCA's to the amps......Would this work?

Thanks guys for all help, I have never done anything with LOC's so I'm kinda clueless lol

I would be willing to do that, but would i have to do anything to continue using my same speakers? since they are on an amp as well?

Once again i am clueless about some of this lol

yes. when you purchase the harness, just make sure to power up the amp turn on wire. that being said, you could also use a line out converter as you said as long as you tap into the output wires and not the input.

I have almost made a decision to get an aftermarket headunit, How difficult would it be to rewire all of my speakers and bypass the amp to wire them to the headunit.....

I have decided to wire them to the headunit to gain more control over my highs, etc....

Is this the best idea? I don't have much cash or i would just buy a highs amp to push them as well.....
