HU is grounded directly, im not using a harness. Im gonna be giving the RCA grounding a try.i had the same issue on a pioneer HU i have since removed, i grounded head unit DIRECTLY to chassis no harnesses involved, and grounded rcas, and it git rid of all alternator wine

how do you ground the rcas to the amp? Solder a wire to the outer shield of the rca to any point on the amp? Could I ground it to the same point the amp is grounded?try to ground the rcas to the car or to the amp like he said

Just run a temporary wire outside of the car to the battery and see if that fixes your whine. If it does then you can go ahead and put a permanent wire in. If it doesnt work then no harm donegonna be a son of a ***** to run a wire up there.
