Limited Choices

Hey (again) guys.

I have seen so many threads when a newbie comes in asking for advice and throws out some name brands from a shop.. almost all of you say "no no no.. not a SHOP! try these un known brands.. they will blow ______ out!" ... I don't understand it.. but I don't disagree, because I have no clue!

I will have peace of mind if I pay the $500 to have a professional install whatever system I am planning on getting. (nothing has been bought yet (unfortunately).

They don't really want to install items they don't sell.. and that makes me just want to grab the local warranty and have it all covered including install for years to come.

With that being said.. I am sure all of you know that I was hit with a memphis setup. I am being talked out of that pretty quickly.. Memphis seems to have mixed reviews, for whatever reason.

I am looking for loud, booming sound quality.

I have attached a pic.. (or at least tried.. hopefully it has worked) these are the brands they carry.

What should I get from these brands if not Memphis?

Comp, Subs, Amps, the whole nine. These are the choices I have.

Why are you confused? Yes people have responded to me, yes they have offered items and gave opinions and I thank them for it.. but you guys have to remember.. I am a NEWBIE... I don't know **** about any of this.. If I bought all the items from someones suggestion and went to a dealership to have them installed, they are not going to "teach" me about anything - it's not their product. They are going to install it and send me on my way. That does not help ME out.

thats why you find someone here in your area that can install and help you ,i have done this for quite a few of my customers , found a local installer to do the work and explain how everything works to.they do sell some decent stuff , but nothing that will really get you loud unless your willing to spend 5 grand

Thats pretty much the exact thing they said.. 5k.. Well I DO need your help.. someone's help.. I know we have went back and forth in PM but kinda got bombarded with too many options, lol. Will someone from here for example, do just as good of a install job, compared to a professional at a shop? that's my major worry.

What's your budget for all this? And how much space do you have for your sub stage?

Because with you being in NC, there's got to be at least one user here who can help you do it at a fraction of the cost and that shop is going to charge you considerably more than you could be paying. We give recommendations for your benefit, not ours. Just use the Installation Help subforum and see if someone's willing to donate their time for a case of beer or some cash.

Now disregard 90% of what I posted because my load time stinks tonight.

Well I am not sure exactly on the space but the guy at the shop said I could fit 3 10"s in a box.. so I'm assuming it's more than 40 inches

yes there is a few guys here on the forum that can do the install just as nice ,prolly nicer than most stores .i can find someone for you .its a service i offer to my customers .

If you take some measurements of your trunks (width depth height) we can help you more. And budget?

I am close enough to Raleigh/Durham NC. As far as the measurements of the trunk.. it's snowing outside and cold as ****, so that will have to wait lol
