Limited Budget .. novice .. suggestions please..

What I want to do is to take the headphone lead out of my MP3 player into an AMP and then out to speakers. Don't ask what speakers I have they are like 6" normal ones. (As you can tell, bit of a novice here)

Can anyone give me a suggestion as to the best cheap amp I can get for this set up?
