The end of what?

The end of a lot of freedoms IMO. One example, why should we have to fund abortions in other countries and in ours, and in return, not tell anyone about it? He's almost making it seem as if it's ok to go out and have unprotected *** with anyone, because there's a free abortion waiting if you fvck up.

You judged me based on where I am from, and I said how typical of you to do so, since you judge everything by where you think it fits in the political spectrum. 4. No, but there's a lot of guns that shouldn't be purchased. And the 2nd Amendment doesn't make it legal to carry assault rifles.

Real, true assault rifles are already HIGHLY regulated. Hell, you can't even purchase a post 1986 manufactured real assault rifle due to the fact that Regan, a republican, let that law go into effect.

By definition, a true assault rifle is select fire (i.e full-auto or burst capable). Anything you see now a days, resembles military selective fire weapons, but is only semi-automatic in nature requiring you to pull the trigger for every round fired. The media did what they do best by creating a negative public image by showing how your run of the mill AR-15 looks just like an M16, therefore it is an assault weapon. Also, semi-auto AKs look just like the weapons that the terrorists use, therefore they are evil and no one should be allowed to own them. Hell, the mass liberal media still thinks the 2nd Amendment was about friggin hunting:verymad:

Sorry, but it really strikes a nerve when someone calls a civilian AR-15, AK, FAL, or any other replica rifle an "assault rifle!"

I don't think anyone here can name some good things that Obama has done. The man is brand new to office. He was just elected senator 2 years ago. Before that what has he done? Since elected in IL all he has done is raise our taxes and vote for some ridiculous laws.

I don't hope Obama fails but I don't get why ALL of you gusy are praising the man when he hasn't done ANYTHING yet.

I don't give a rats *** that he is black either. Great, we finally have a black president but no offense to anyone who is black here, they are already acting stupid about that. Like Jay-z and so forth.

This is so stupid and Rush Limbaugh is a genius. Yeah he is extremely conservative and I don't always agree w/ him but his interview the last two nights have been on the money.

Also way to go on getting rid of GITMO! Lets just ask the terrorists next time to tell us where the rest of the bad guys are and have them go back out and bomb people like some of them are already!

President Obama has lifted a ban on federal funding for international groups that promote or perform abortions, reversing a policy of his predecessor, George W. Bush.

Obama's actions mean that hundreds of millions of your tax dollars will go to help groups like Planned Parenthood perform abortions around the world.

 

His actions came one day after the 36th anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in all 50 states.

Alot of people are more interested in imposing their views and values on everybody else on this subject than they are in the fact that alot of women get ***** or go through pregnancies that put their health at risk. Plus, may sound cold but... my mother has a background in child welfare and I have also seen alot of bad situations. I'll just say, whether it's right or it's wrong, that there's alot of kids out there who never stood a chance concidering what they grew up around. Not just of avoiding a life of crime and poverty, but of not dying due to parental neglect or growing up to head another abusive, neglectful household. Abortion in and of itself isn't an answer, it should involve a combination of promoting abstinence, contraception, and educated, informed abortion as a last resort in specific instances. What scares me most is when the real extremists speak up for a total ban on abortion and a ban on promoting contraception and std preventual measures regardless of circumstances because they think you can tell a bunch of highschool and college kids in 2009 to not have *** until they're 26 and married and go to church instead and that'll solve it all.

As for Pailin, sorry but I missed this secret speach at the beginning of the campaign where she dazzled at her brilliance. When she was stifled and her talking points were restricted it was her own campaign that did it and they did it for the reason. The media seemed to never have a problem letting her speak because it made for such good comedy. I have to wonder if everyone watched the same debates I did. Biden may have made some factual errors here and there, she managed to almost never give an intelligible answer to any question. She got picked because they figured any female VP candidate would be good enough to counterract Obama and if she was hot and charming, so much the better. It put the final nail in Mccain's coffin. If she ever runs for the big seat I will get more deeply involved in grassroots political activism than I ever have my whole life and her opponent would have to be satan reincarnate to loose my vote.

Check sig. If you really count pure political experience OBama's been in the game longer than Bush was. If you count life's experience, I think what Obama did with his life is more valuable experience for a president than being an oil executive and owning a baseball team. Hell, Reagan was an actor and a governor who tried to squash the civil rights movement in his state back in the day. Bush worked in oil and own a sports team. What does everybody expect, some people have brought decades of federal political and administrative service to the job. Some have bought none. It's kind of a job you have to grow into no matter what you're doing.
